What MUST I do to stay on track with my Sociology & Criminology Major?

Follow these four simple steps:

  1. Take SC-1010 Foundations of Sociology during your first year. This course also counts for the Core's Social Science (SOC) requirement.
  2. Take DATA-1220 Descriptive Statistics during your second year. This course also counts for the Core's Quantitative Analysis (QA) requirement and is a pre-requisite for the department's second research method's course.
  3. Take SC-3500 Sociological Research Methods during your third year, either fall or spring. This course also counts for the Core's Additional Writing (AW) requirement. Plan to take the second half during the semester direction after (SC-3510 and SC-3520 Lab).
  4. Finally, don't forget to include SC-4000 Sociology Theory in your four year plan. Most students take this class either Junior or Senior year.
