The Pre-Health Professions program provides students with opportunities to fulfill the goal of becoming a healthcare professional, including advice on course selection and career paths in healthcare. Our courses will prepare you for careers in medicine, dentistry, podiatry, nursing, pharmacy, and other healthcare professions. Our program includes a full-time director and a physician-in-residence who will advise you throughout your time at JCU.
Undergraduate Pre-Health Professions Program Minor
As a pre-health student, you can choose to major in sciences (biology, chemistry, physics) or nearly any area, as long as you demonstrate an aptitude for science and complete the prerequisite coursework set forth by your chosen professional program.

The MedStart program is offered by the University of Toledo College of Medicine. It allows qualified students to by-pass the MCAT and gain acceptance to the medical college in their junior year.

The pre-medical post-baccalaureate program is a full-time, completely personalized program designed to prepare students to fulfill the requirements and gain the necessary skills for admission to medical, dental, veterinary and other professional healthcare schools.
