Arrupe Advocacy & Community Building

Fatima Food Drive
Each year, Arrupe students collect monetary and non-perishable food donations to feed 150 families a week’s worth of food, including supplies for a full Thanksgiving meal. On Delivery Day, students connected with the Hough Community at the Fatima Family Center to hand-deliver boxes. Last year, we were able to share a meal as well, thanks to the generous donation from Swensons Drive-In Restaurants.

Footprints for Fatima 5K Run & 1-Mile Walk
Footprints for Fatima is an annual run/walk that helps raise money for the Fatima Food Drive. The race is held on campus and the surrounding neighborhood each Fall, during Homecoming Weekend. It's a great way for families to get out and enjoy exercise and support a great cause together!

Fatima Family Fundraiser
Started in 2019 by Maguire Tausch ‘21, the Fatima Family Fundraiser is an opportunity for friends and family to learn about the Arrupe Program and come together to support the Fatima Center. The night included a delicious meal from a local restaurant, a live violinist (Arrupe scholar Noah Tylutki ‘21), and speakers from each grade level who detailed their experience with the program.

Annual Power and Privilege Conference
The Annual Power and Privilege Conference is organized by third-year Arrupe students. It's held each year in the Spring semester, focusing on a specific topic related to Power and Privilege. The event's format has included panelist discussions, thought-provoking presentations and other activities.
Bonding Opportunities
Over the course of the year there are several opportunities for Arrupe students to get to know one another and develop friendships. Events like the first-year retreat, the Arrupe picnic and the annual Christmas party allow students to unwind and build friendships. For first-year students, the optional Living Learning Community in Campion Hall allows members of the program to live on the same floor with one another.
