Part IV. Essay

  • Please write an essay of about 500-600 words (typewritten, double-spaced, with one-inch margins) considering the following: 

    Disregarding the warnings of the institutional review board, (evil) social scientists capture an island and divide its inhabitants: one half are banned from studying the humanities. What happens next?

Part V. Letters of Recommendation

Secure two letters of recommendation from members of the John Carroll Community. Solicit letters from faculty members who know you well. At least one of your recommenders must be a full-time faculty member (preferably tenured or tenure track). Ask for the letter of recommendation at least two weeks before the deadline. 

Faculty members should email the recommendation letters directly to pmetres@jcu.edu.
