The office of Mission and Identity invites interested faculty and staff to participate in a summer mission reading group. Over the course of five Wednesday lunchtimes during the summer, we will explore a new book by Jesuit theologian James Keenan, SJ entitled: University Ethics:How Colleges Can Build and Benefit from a Culture of Ethics. The book deals with challenging ethical issues facing universities today. We ask that participants plan on attending at least four of the five sessions, and commit to reading the material in advance. Sessions will take place in the faculty lounge, on the dates below from 12 to 1:30 or 2:00 pm, based upon peoples availability, Bring your own brown bag lunch. Books will be provided for participants. This program is funded by the Dean Brackley, SJ endowment fund, a gift of the JCU Jesuit community. Registration is limited to the first 25 registrants and will be taken on a first come first served basis. Participants who can only make three of the sessions are encouraged to contact Ed Peck (ext. 4218 or epeck@jcu.edu) to be put on the waiting list.
