What To Do In A Medical Emergency
- If life-threatening, call 911 immediately.
- On campus, call JCU Police Dispatch at 216-397-1234.
- Provide your exact location, the person’s condition, and your call-back number.
- Do not move the person unless directed by emergency personnel.
Crime in Progress or Threat
- On campus, call 216-397-1234. Off campus, call 911.
- Give a clear description (what happened, people involved, direction of travel, vehicles, clothing).
- Do not place yourself in danger. Follow dispatcher instructions.
Fire or Smoke
- Activate the nearest fire alarm pull station if available.
- Evacuate the building; use stairs, not elevators.

- Do not re-enter until cleared by authorities.

- Seek shelter in an interior room away from windows (lowest level if possible).
