John Carroll University's 100 Years of Athletics Gala has been canceled following a directive from Ohio Governor Mike Dewine to limit large gatherings to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The decision comes as part of the University's preventative measures, which include a transition to online classes on Monday, March 16.

The gala dinner was scheduled to take place on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Cleveland Marriott Downtown at Key Center. Attendees, participants, and sponsors were notified of the decision on Tuesday.

I want to thank each and every one of you again for your support of our student athletes as we celebrate our 100th anniversary of collegiate athletics and the tremendous success of our student athletes both on and off the field," said Doreen Riley, Vice President for University Advancement and Corporate Secretary.
