The following is a compilation of selected accomplishments of our College of Arts and Sciences graduate students during the fall 2013 semester. Charmae Cotton (English, '13G) has been invited to share her research, “The Wife’s Lament and the Sorrow of Mary Magdalene,” at the Anglo-Saxon Womanhood Conference sponsored by the University of Manchester, England, in April 2014. Charmae is a Ph.D. candidate at Kent State University. Heather (Thomas) Cox (Education/School-based Program, '04G) was honored by the White House as a “Champion of Change” for creatively using technology to enhance learning for students. Heather is a 4th grade teacher and grade level chair in Milton, Georgia. Over the past nine years she has spearheaded several technology initiatives for students and teachers. Bridget Tichar (Communications Management) was featured in the December 8, 2013, edition of the Cleveland Plain Dealer for her work in the “Fight Like Mike Program.” Students in the School Psychology Ed. S. Program have had their research accepted by the National Association of School Psychologists for presentations at the organization’s annual conference to be held in Washington DC in February 2014. Congratulations to Samantha Barsa, Colleen Bennett, Lindsey Brandel, Ellen Gustafson, Katheryn Hart, Bradley Paramore, Katherine Petzke, Whitney Poole, and Shannon Sullivan. Their presentations will focus on a variety of perspectives related to school psychologists’ consultation skills. Carson Bay (Theology and Religious Studies) is presenting a paper titled “Leonine Imagery in John’s Revelation” at the Midwest Society of Biblical Literature Annual Conference in Bourbonnois, IL,  in February 2014.
