The Nonprofit Administration Program is excited to share the promotions or new jobs of our students and alumni!  We’re delighted to tell you about the accomplishments of Collin, Haley, John, and Jalene!

Former Graduate Assistant and 2020 graduate, Collin Ries, has secured a job as the Program and Marketing Manager at Leadership Columbus. He says, “one of the most valuable parts of the Nonprofit Administration program is that it combines teaching practical knowledge of the functional areas essential to nonprofit management with personal growth, all while developing your “soft skills” that are invaluable for any career.” He emphasized that throughout the program he was presented with opportunities to expand his network and connect with leaders actively working in the field. Lastly, he said, “the dedication of the program’s leader helps students figure out where they want to take their careers, and how to what they are learning in the classroom can get them there.”

Haley Marblestone, slated to graduate in 21, is Cleveland Sight Centers’ new Development Manager. Marblestone says that after enrolling in the Nonprofit Administration program, her life has “changed for the better.” She said, “My career in the nonprofit world started out as a passion but is now grounded in theory and best practices. Above all, this program has taught me how to lead with confidence, a trait I believe helped me greatly through COVID-19.”

John Ambrose ’20 immediately after graduating began working for InMotion as a Community Outreach Manager. He says that he made the best decision to enroll in John Carroll’s Nonprofit Administration Program. John said, “I view public service as a means to achieve positive social change. It was so wonderful to be surrounded by classmates who had the same commitment to public service as I did, and I was able to learn just as much from them as I did from my instructors.”

Lastly, we want to congratulate another graduate of the program, Jalene Pardon ‘19. Pardon was promoted to Finance Director for University Settlement. Pardon set out with one goal and, in her time, accomplished that and more! She said both the professors and fellow students of the program aided in her ability to understand her “role as a leader.” Pardon said, “I was also able to expand my goals to include implementing new processes in my department and to be elevated to a director position on the leadership team.”

We are so proud to have such talented and passionate students and alumni!  They are, above all, “unapologetic social justice leaders!”
