“Although the life of a person is in a land full of thorns and weeds, there is always a space in which the good seed can grow.”

– Pope Francis

Reflect on this quote from Pope Francis. Please write a reflection considering the following questions:

  • What thorns and weeds exist in your life? What thorns and weeds contributed to you engaging in policy-violating behavior?
  • Where are the spaces where “the good seed can grow” in your life currently? Consider your values, priorities and support system. Consider your goals and your involvement on- and off-campus.
  • How can you remove thorns and weeds in your life and create more room for the good seed to grow? What are some realistic, specific and concrete steps?

Your reflection should be at least 750 words.
