Thank you for your interest in 2020 Summer Housing! Please review all the information on this page and complete the Summer Housing Application Form

Summer housing will be in Campion Hall. You will receive your room assignment at the time of your check-in. Students will be placed in a double room, with a roommate (unless occupancy requires that you do not need a roommate).  Amenities in resident rooms include furniture, cable, internet, and free laundry. Campion Hall is a non-smoking facility.

Kitchen facilities are located on the ground floor of Campion Hall. There are no meal plans for the summer.  Einstein Bros Bagels and/or the Inn Between may have limited hours Mondays-Fridays when the University is open, for more information please visit http://www.campusdish.com/en-US/CSMA/JohnCarroll.  Food and soda vending machines are located on the ground floor near the main lounge. Mail will be delivered Mondays-Fridays to mailboxes in the D.J. Lombardo Student Center. The Hall Office, located off the main lobby in the 1st floor, will be open every evening for 2 hours at assigned times.  Mail for Non-JCU students can be delivered to:

The cost is $125.00/week for a room.  JCU students will be billed in full for the duration of the intended stay at the time of application.  Billing will be calculated on a weekly basis (Week running Saturday to Saturday). **If you choose to leave prior to the date indicated on your application, you will not receive a refund.**  If you would like to extend your stay, contact the Office of Residence Life and you may do so and will be charged the appropriate weekly rate.

Each student will receive Carroll Card ID access and a key.  Failure to return the key will result in a $75.00 charge per key to the JCU student account.

All current residents who are registered to live on campus for summer will stay in their current room until check in on Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 10am-2pm.  If you do not currently live on campus, you will be able to check into your summer housing space on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in the Campion Hall Office from 10am-2pm.  Check ins at later points in the summer will be confirmed once applications are received. Most check ins will occur on Saturdays during specified hours in the duty in the Hall Office.

Check outs will occur on Saturdays from 5pm-7pm during duty hours, based on the length of your contracted stay.

 

Students living on campus for the Fall 2020 semester will move to their fall semester room on August 8, 2020. You must be available to move on this date, please do not schedule work, family obligations, appointments or vacations on this date.     

 

Students will NOT be able to make arrangements to stay in their summer room past August 8, 2020 at 4pm.  Please make necessary arrangements around this schedule.

 

Students who do NOT check out of their room by August 8, 2020 at 2pm will be assessed a $200.00 fee.

 

All University and Housing policies, procedures, and regulations will be in effect and enforced throughout the summer.  These policies can be viewed in the Community Standards manual on the website http://sites.jcu.edu/deanofstudents/pages/community-standards/.

IF YOU ARE NOT CURRENTLY IN HOUSING, THE EARLIEST YOU CAN MOVE INTO SUMMER HOUSING IS MAY 16, 2020.

If you are not living on campus for 2020-2021 academic year, you cannot stay in housing past August 8, 2020.  If you are living on campus for the 2020-2021 academic year, you will move to your Fall Housing assignment on Saturday, August 8, 2020.  There is no other optional date, you must keep this date open for moving. Please do not schedule any vacations, family obligations or work during the morning of August 8, 2020.
