As you may be aware, JCU is embarking on an exciting building project. The new Athletic, Wellness & Event Center (AWE) will be built on the site of an existing parking lot. Consequently, for the duration of the construction project, we will need to park first-year and second-year resident students off campus at nearby parking areas. There is limited capacity at these lots, so it is very possible not all requests will be accommodated.

We appreciate your patience as we navigate these parking challenges. Please know that the safety and well-being of our students are very important to us. Please reach out to the parking office with any specific questions or concerns.

Parking Details

JCU parking permits are now reserved through a new portal for the 2024-25 school year!

You can now purchase a parking permit through your myJCU Gateway portal. Effective on the morning of the sales window, the parking link will appear under the Quick Links section.

You will need to enter your vehicle information, so please make sure you know your vehicle's make and model and have your license plate number ready. You will then be prompted to request your permit.

- Please make sure to print your temporary permit from the new parking portal and have it displayed in your car until you pick up your permanent permit.

 - The Off-site Shuttle to Notre Dame College will begin running Saturday August 17th at 12:00 noon.  Students with an offsite permit should return vehicles to Notre Dame starting Saturday.

 - Undergraduate Parking Permits will be available for pick up from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm August 19th-23rd in the Student Center Atrium.

 - Grad School Permits will be distributed through the Graduate School Office. The Grad School office will reach out to you directly.

 - Starting August 26th - Violations will be issued for vehicles without a permanent permit or ones not parked correctly (wrong location or lot)

The John Carroll University Police Department (JCUPD) is primarily responsible for ensuring the safety of all persons living, working, or visiting the University. This requires considerable attention to regulating the flow of traffic and the appropriate use of parking. We have developed rules to help govern traffic and parking on University property. Adherence to these rules will facilitate the safe and efficient use of parking areas and roadways around campus.

Please read our regulations carefully. If you have questions, please email parking@jcu.edu or call the JCU Parking Office at 216-397-2277, Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. or call the JCU Police Department at 216-397-1234 after hours.

All visitors should enter campus through the main entrance at Fairmount Circle and pick up a visitor's permit at the Main Gate House (Monday-Friday).
