The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the local governing body for National Interfraternity Conference fraternity chapters at the John Carroll University. IFC works to promote the highest ideals of scholarship, leadership, service and fraternalism among its member organizations. IFC provides educational programming on a variety of topics to fraternity chapters and their members including leadership, risk management, alcohol awareness and scholarship. IFC consists of a four member elected executive council and a legislative body of fraternity representatives.


The Panhellenic Council is the representative governing body of the five National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities at JCU; it consists of seven executive officers from various chapters and one voting delegate from each chapter. The Panhellenic Council meets weekly to discuss current issues and upcoming events. The council is also responsible for local Panhellenic operations in accordance with the NPC policies and procedures. All of the sororities are members of the National Panhellenic Conference – the governing organization over all 26 inter/national sororities.
