The Pre-Health Professions Honors Society gives students interested in healthcare the opportunity to learn more about the healthcare professions in general and to gain experience through volunteerism.
The Pre-Pharmacy Club gives students the opportunity to learn more about careers in pharmacy and the steps necessary to gain entrance into the profession. Many of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) programs require two to three years of undergraduate work before being eligible for entry into the clinical doctorate program. In addition, most require a substantial number of hours of experience working in a pharmacy as an aid or a technician. Students interested in this profession must plan carefully to ensure they meet all of the necessary prerequisites for the program(s) to which they intend to apply.
