Dr. Brian Gearity, PhD, ATC, CSCS, FNSCA is Director and Associate Professor of the Master of Arts in Sport Coaching and several online graduate certificate programs at the University of Denver. Both published by Routledge in 2020, he co-edited the book, “Coach Education and Development in Sport: Instructional Strategies” and co-authored, “Understanding Strength and Conditioning as Sport Coaching: Bridging the Biophysical, Pedagogical and Sociocultural Foundations of Practice.” He is Editor-in-Chief for the National Strength and Conditioning Association’s practitioner journal NSCA Coach, and is on the editorial board for Sport Coaching Review; International Sport Coaching Journal; Qualitative Research in Sport, Exercise, and Health; and Strength & Conditioning JournalDr. Gearity has been a S&C coach for youth, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes; coached high school football; and has coached multiple youth sports. He earned a B.A. in Physical Education from John Carroll University in 2001. 

Bryan Beigie is currently an administrator serving in the Exercise Science and Sport Studies Department at John Carroll University. His responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in both the exercise science major and Mike Cleary Program in Sport Studies major. Beigie is also responsible for coordinating all experiential learning and professional development for the undergraduate students.  Bryan has held this position since 2014.  Additionally, Bryan has had the privilege of coaching football for the JCU Blue Streaks under the leadership of both Head Coaches Tom Arth as well as Rick Finotti.  Coaching from 2013-2018, Beigie was responsible for the Wide Receivers and Return Specialists.  Prior to John Carroll University Bryan was Varsity Football and Basketball coach, strength and conditioning coordinator, and assistant athletics director at Walsh Jesuit, and Columbus Saint Francis DeSales from 2007-2013.  Bryan Beigie is a 2004 graduate of John Carroll University with a degree in Physical Education.  He also holds a Master of Education in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University.
