Working with the University of Washington, the 18-month grant will showcase a number of interesting ways to learn about data through leveraging multimodal perceptual analysis, by converting data into objects and sounds to see if it enhances our ability to detect trends over time. In addition to her role as associate professor of International Relations at John Carroll, Dr. Ziemke is also co-founder and co-director of the International Network of Crisis Mappers, and serves on the Board of Directors for the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and the MapStory Foundation.
