John Carroll University has partnered with Turner Broadcasting System to establish a summer internship exclusively for a JCU student in Turner Digital’s Manhattan office, beginning this June. The 10-week, paid internship helps a student gain professional experience in advertising and marketing across Turner Digital’s portfolio of sites, including CNN.com, NBA.com, NCAA.com, PGA.com, TBS.com, and adultswim.com.  The internship focuses on conducting research, connecting products with marketing messages and platforms, and creating and presenting an effective sales plan. JCU alumnus, Walker Jacobs ’97, executive vice president of Turner Digital, established the internship in collaboration with Jeanne M. Colleran ’76, Ph.D., dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at John Carroll. Current sophomores or juniors in JCU’s College of Arts and Sciences who meet eligibility requirements may apply. Applications for the summer 2013 internship are due Tuesday, March 12, at 5 p.m. Visit sites.jcu.edu/turnerpartnership for more information and complete application requirements.
