WHO: Children and teens from across the country and around the world will be in Greater Cleveland for the International Youth Sports Festival, formerly known as the Continental Cup. More than 3,500 athletes from 20 countries are expected to participate in soccer, baseball, and basketball, July 1-4. Visit www.jcu.edu and click on “International Youth Sports Festival” for the game schedules and locations. (All international athletes will be housed on the John Carroll campus.) WHAT: John Carroll University will host the Cleveland Clinic Sports Health International Youth Sports Festival Opening Ceremonies and Celebration on Thursday, July 1. The Olympic-style event will include a parade of athletes, interactive activities, face painting, inflatables, food and beverages, live music and entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks show.
