John Carroll University has been named one of the nation’s top 100 “best values” in the private universities category by Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine; JCU is one of five schools in Ohio to be recognized in this category. Kiplinger’s rankings emphasize both academic quality and affordability. Criteria include a school’s admission rate, academic support, graduation rate, and cost and financial aid. “Being recognized by Kiplinger’s demonstrates to families that the investment in a JCU education shows value—we strive for affordability while maintaining a high level of quality in our academic and overall student experience,” said Brian Williams, John Carroll vice president for enrollment. “The total cost of a college degree continues to be a more significant factor in the college search process for many families. But it is important for families to go beyond just selecting what appears to be the least expensive option. Understanding worth and quality is so critical for the future success of our students and the experience we deliver year in and year out.” Earlier this fall, U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Colleges” edition ranked JCU #5 in its “Great Schools at Great Prices” category among universities in the Midwest offering master’s programs. JCU also earned the #1 spot in the “Strong Commitment to Undergraduate Teaching” category. Visit sites.jcu.edu/results to learn more about the value of a John Carroll education.
