John Carroll’s Advancement Division was recently honored for its work by two organizations. Both the Office of Alumni Relations and Integrated Marketing and Communications were honored by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education’s (CASE) District V. The district’s Pride of CASE V awards honor the best work in communications, alumni relations, and development among the district’s schools in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Ohio. There are four award levels within the 45 award categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Honorable Mention. The Alumni Relations team received an Honorable Mention for their Alumni Chapter Program in the Best Volunteer Engagement Program category. Integrated Marketing and Communications was awarded honors in four categories: Best Video Features Gold Winner John Carroll University Forever Carroll Campaign Video Best Alumni/Institution Magazines Silver Winner John Carroll University John Carroll magazine Excellence in Design, Posters Silver Winner John Carroll University Human Rights Film Festival Best Graphic Identity/Logo Honorable Mention John Carroll University Forever Carroll Campaign Additionally, The Society of Professional Journalists recognized John Walsh, university editor and director of publications, and John Carroll magazine for two awards in their 2013 Ohio’s Best Journalism awards: Best Explanatory Journalism “A code of ethics - facing dilemmas and making the right choices” John Carroll magazine Best Media Criticism “Print... sick but not dying” John Carroll magazine
