John Carroll has transitioned the annual Jesuit Day of Service to a five-day long virtual experience. From April 20 to 25, John Carroll students, alumni and incoming first-year students are invited to come together to serve the community in new and creative ways. Participate with peers through daily challenges throughout the week, including: hearing from community partners about their needs and challenges, writing a letter to someone experiencing social isolation, or recording yourself reading your favorite children’s book.
The Center for Service and Social Action (CSSA) is leading the initiative.
Several themes will encompass the week-long event. Monday, April 20 will be centered around education, followed by healthcare, food and housing, incarceration and criminal justice, and community centers. Saturday, April 25 will showcase service from the week as participants will gather together virtually to celebrate as a community.
