Beginning June 8 and extending throughout this summer, John Carroll will host its first-ever Online Data Bootcamp, giving students the opportunity to learn in-demand tech skills by completing hands-on projects from top tech companies like Spotify and Airbnb.

All lectures will meet virtually on a weekly basis with classmates and instructor Robert Alvarez in a live discussion, LiveLabs. The bootcamp will prepare participants for a Tableau Specialist Certification. Those who finish the courses will receive a Certificate of Completion from John Carroll University.

Robert Alvarez will lead instruction on each of the Online Data Bootcamp courses. Professor Alvarez is an Artificial Intelligence advisor to NASA. He has served as an adjunct Professor of Data Science and Machine Learning at Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business, and has also held a variety of industry data science roles at Intel and CERN. Additionally, he taught data science in an applied format for a leading Silicon Valley data science bootcamp.
