John Carroll University President Michael D. Johnson, Ph.D., today announced that Tiffany Galvin Green, Ph.D., has been named Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, effective October 28.
“We are delighted to welcome Tiffany to our community,” said Dr. Johnson. “Her extensive experience in higher education and the non-profit sector uniquely qualify her for this important role at John Carroll. Our continued efforts in diversity and inclusion are central to both our mission and our future strength as a University.”
In her role, Dr. Green will oversee the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This new division will bring together and enhance existing campus offices and efforts, including the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion (CSDI), the Student Accessibility Services Office, the Title IX Office, and faculty and staff DEI training and development.
Dr. Green has more than 20 years of progressive experience in higher education, with a specialization in leadership, diversity and inclusion, organizational behavior and business management. Most recently, she served as assistant provost for inclusive excellence at Vanderbilt University. In that role, she was tasked with evaluating and augmenting existing programs, consulting with units across campus to design and implement new programs, and aiding efforts to attract, hire, and retain diverse faculty talent.
