In her role, Dr. Green will oversee the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This new division will bring together and enhance existing campus offices and efforts, including the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion (CSDI), the Student Accessibility Services Office, the Title IX Office, and faculty and staff DEI training and development.

Dr. Green has more than 20 years of progressive experience in higher education, with a specialization in leadership, diversity and inclusion, organizational behavior and business management. Most recently, she served as assistant provost for inclusive excellence at Vanderbilt University. In that role, she was tasked with evaluating and augmenting existing programs, consulting with units across campus to design and implement new programs, and aiding efforts to attract, hire, and retain diverse faculty talent.

From my first introduction to the campus and the vibrant community of students, faculty, and staff, I have been drawn to John Carroll’s mission, vision, and core values. As a woman of faith, I am passionate about achieving equality and building environments that allow all community members to thrive. I very much look forward to partnering with all constituents at JCU and continuing the progressive and innovative Strategic Plan for Inclusive Excellence to move the University forward towards its highest objectives.

Previously, Dr. Green was the CEO and executive director of River Region Human Services, Inc. in Jacksonville, Florida, where she oversaw 13 non-profit locations and 200+ employees across three counties.

For the last 14 years, Dr. Green has served as an adjunct/assistant professor at the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Green earned her Ph.D. in organizational behavior and M.S. in management/organizational behavior from Northwestern University following her undergraduate work at the University of Michigan.
