Mariah White '15, a John Carroll University junior majoring in Business Management, has been awarded the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship. The Gilman Scholarship will enable White to study abroad this summer at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth. White is from Hamburg, New York. She is also a John Carroll Presidential Scholarship recipient and recently received the University’s Outstanding Leader Award for the junior class. The Gilman Scholarship Program offers awards for undergraduate study abroad and was established by the International Academic Opportunity Act of 2000. This scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving Federal Pell Grant funding at a two-year or four-year college or university to participate in study and intern abroad programs worldwide.
