The Department of East Asian Studies presents its inaugural Maroon Discussion Series featuring Koichi Tanaka General Manager, Tomatec America  “Business, Asia, and Ohio”                                     Tuesday, October 5 4 – 5:30 p.m. Boler School of Business / Room 107 This event is free and open to the public. WHAT:           John Carroll University’s East Asian Studies Program is launching The Maroon Discussion Series. This series is a learning platform that will focus on the politics, people and businesses associated with contemporary East Asian culture.                         Maroon Industries is a specialty chemical distributor based in Avon, Ohio. WHO:             Koichi Tanaka is general manager of Tomatec America. He is a native of Japan and has lived and worked in the United States for many years. Tomatec America is a leading manufacturer of a wide range of Complex Inorganic Color Pigments (CICPs).  CICPs have applications in thermoplastics and thermosetting resins, advanced engineering plastics, paints, ceramics, glass colors, porcelain enamels, cements, and functional materials.  The company has also developed a range of new, environmentally friendly pigments.
