WKYC Channel 3 in Cleveland featured John Carroll University’s ‘Best Buddies’ initiative on March 30 for the positive impact it is making on members of the Cleveland community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The story is centered around the relationship between a John Carroll senior, Matthew Loughran, and George Agaiby. The two began meeting in March of 2020 on Zoom, and as the months of isolation during the pandemic continued, so did their weekly meetings. They have built a strong virtual connection, but have yet to meet in person.

Watch the story of the friendship between Matthew and George via WKYC.
