Biography

Rosa Mejía was born in the Dominican Republic where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Education (Licenciatura en educación mención matemáticas). She started her teaching career in Elementary School in 1994. Later, she became a Mathematics high school teacher in 2000. She moved to the United States in 2008 and continued her education at Cleveland State University. Rosa was awarded her Master in Spanish from Cleveland State University (CSU) in 2013. At CSU, she was offered a Teaching Assistant position for two years. After graduation, she started teaching Spanish at The University of Akron. In spring 2015, she also started teaching at John Carroll University.
