Dr Leonberg-Yoo is a nephrologist in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian and Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. She received her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine. She is one of 47 doctors at Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania-Penn Presbyterian and one of 19 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center who specialize in Nephrology

This is what Dr. Leonberg-Yoo has to say about her undergraduate experience at John Carroll University:

“During my undergraduate studies, the JCU Chemistry department supported my pursuit of going to medical school. There was ample opportunity for me to be involved in research activities, including a research project sponsored by the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and independent research projects guided by excellent faculty mentors. More importantly, the support and genuine interest in professional development is something that is unique to the Chemistry department faculty. Because of the size of the division, the Chemistry professors were able to really help make me a competitive applicant for medical school and were truly invested in my success. I still keep in touch with my professors from JCU, and one professor even wrote me a letter of recommendation for a recent grant application!”
