The Human Resources Department is very exited to be able to provide several opportunities for you to be able to learn about your benefit options through presentations as well as offer you opportunities for one-on-one sessions with our benefit providers.  Our hope is that you will be able to receive all the information you need in order to make informed decisions about your benefits during the upcoming open enrollment period.  Please see below for details  and registration information for the Virtual Benefits Fair as well as information about the 2021 Open Enrollment period.

*Please Note:  Providers marked with an asterisk (*) are providing raffle prizes for attendance at one of their presentations/sessions.  A list of attendees will be provided by us, to the presenter, and the presenter will randomly select a winner to whom HR will deliver their raffle prize.

Metro Health will be on campus on Thursday, October 29th to offer flu shots to faculty and staff. 

  • You are required to register for a specific time. The link for registration is below.
  • You must wear a mask.
  • Do not come if you are feeling sick.
  • Come to the Murphy Commons a couple minutes prior to your registered time to sign in.

In addition to being able to get your flu shot on campus, you also have the option to go to your network provider.  The cost of the flu shot is included in your premium for those who have medical coverage through John Carroll University.

In addition, those with medical coverage through John Carroll University health plans have access to the following:
MetroHealth’s Drive-Up Vaccine Service is now open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays at the MetroHealth Middleburg Heights November Family Health Center. With an appointment, adults and children ages 10 and older can get immunizations without having to leave their vehicle.

The open enrollment period to enroll in benefits for the 2021 calendar year is November 2 through November 13.  On the morning of Nov. 2nd you will receive a personalized link to use for your benefit enrollment.

Updated rates are available on the Benefits Page under HEALTH, LIFE & DISABILITY BENEFITS. Choose your applicable cohort to find the 2021 Benefit Summary sheets as well as the Medical Contribution Rate sheets that apply to you.
