Pre-Medical Post-Baccalaureate Program

Pre-Medical Post-Baccalaureate Program

Located near Cleveland, Ohio – the heart of the nation’s top healthcare systems – the completely personalized post-baccalaureate pre-med program prepares students who want to fulfill the requirements for admission to medical, dental, veterinary, physician assistant, nursing or other professional healthcare programs.

The program is completely customized for each student to specifically fulfill the missing prerequisites needed for applications—no need to take repeat or additional courses. In addition to coursework, JCU faculty ensure students are well prepared for the interview portions of the application process; and help improve scores on the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) and the Dental Admission Test (DAT). Plus, at JCU, students have access to nearby medical internship and research opportunities, as well as a wealth of alumni connections to guide and advance their careers.

Time to Completion:

Students with undergraduate degrees in biology, chemistry or other natural sciences, may complete the 34-credit-hour program in as little as one year, as the academic plan will be tailored to provide the student with only what they need.

Students who do not have any college level science courses typically take two years to complete the program.

The program fulfills the minimum requirements for admission to most medical schools and professional health schools in the United States.
