Sinéad Morrissey is the author of five collections of poetry, the most recent of which, Parallax, won the T. S. Eliot Prize in 2013. Parallax and Selected Poems was published by FSG in 2015 and was a finalist in the National Book Critics' Circle Award for Poetry. In 2016 she was awarded the E. M. Forster prize from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. Her sixth collection, On Balance, will be published in May 2017. Sponsors include John Carroll University's Department of English, Peace, Justice and Human Rights (PJHR) Program and Department of Political Science, in addition to the Cleveland Humanities Festival.
