WHO: Alan R. Spachman, founder and chairman of National Interstate Corporation. Mr. Spachman founded National Interstate Corporation in 1989, and served as president and CEO from 1989- 2007. He directed the company’s evolution from a single product passenger insurer to a multi-line publicly traded entity. Mr. Spachman holds a B.S. and M.B.A from the University of Rhode Island.
