John Carroll's English Department is proud to present award-winning poet Dave Lucas '01 on Monday, May 2, at 7:30 p.m. in the Donahue Auditorium of the Dolan Center for Science and Technology. Lucas is a native of Cleveland and a 2001 John Carroll graduate. He is the recipient of a Henry Hoyns Fellowship from the University of Virginia and a “Discovery”/The Nation Prize. His poems have appeared in many journals including Paris Review, Poetry, and Slate. His first book of poems is titled Weather. Lucas lives in Cleveland and Ann Arbor, Michigan, where he is a Ph.D.  candidate in English language and literature at the University of Michigan. This lecture is part of John Carroll's Visiting Writer Series and is free and open to the public.
