WHO: Diana Richards is President and CEO, Vacuum Systems International, Inc. She founded VSI, Inc. in December 1994 after meeting with a retail clothing store chain experiencing vacuum cleaner maintenance issues with their onsite vacuum cleaners. The Vacuum Helpline Repair and Rotation Program was conceived by Diana in the parking lot of that meeting. Starting with no clients, in 1995 she moved into a warehouse and temporarily lived there. Sales for the first year were over $400,000. Today VSI services over 72,000 retail stores in North America.
