WHAT: “Fitting the Pieces Together” is a networking forum aimed at discovering how the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence Seaway give Northeast Ohio manufacturers and shippers a competitive advantage in our global economy. This event is sponsored by John Carroll University’s Standard Products Dr. James S. Reid Chair in Management and the Port of Cleveland. The Standard Products Dr. James S. Reid Chair in Management emphasizes quality issues and innovative business practices to prepare students for leadership roles in business. WHO: KEYNOTE SPEAKER: Rear Admiral Peter V. Neffenger, United States Coast Guard Rear Admiral Peter Neffenger is the operational commander of the Ninth Coast Guard District, which spans the five Great Lakes, Saint Lawrence Seaway, and part of surrounding states, including 1,500 miles of international border. He has more than 6,900 Coast Guard active duty, reserve, civilian, and auxiliary men and women serving under his command. Speakers representing multiple areas of expertise will also discuss how to integrate efforts: John D.
