University Heights, OH –John Carroll University earned the #7 ranking among universities in the Midwest offering master’s programs in the 2009 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges”, a leading comprehensive source of college and university profiles. This marks the 20th consecutive year that the University has been named one of the top 10 institutions in this category. John Carroll University’s Academic Vice President, Dr. John Day said, “It is a great honor for John Carroll to be acknowledged nationally, reflecting the commitment of our faculty and administration to provide a superb learning environment and a quality education.” Dr. Day added, “Ultimately, we hope that this recognition will encourage prospective students to learn more about the University’s mission: to inspire excellence in learning, leadership and service in the region and in the world.” The 2009 “America's Best Colleges” guidebook will be available online at www.usnews.com/colleges beginning Friday, August 22 and available for newsstand purchase Monday, August 25.
