WHAT: The 2007-2008 Dr. Shirley S. Seaton Cultural Awareness Series sponsored by John Carroll’s Office of Multicultural Affairs WHO: Classically trained violinists Tourie and Damien Escobar Brothers Tourie and Damien, ages 22 and 20, are New York Natives and classically trained violinists. After attending the legendary Juilliard School, they now have a mission to bridge the gap between popular and classical music. Though once teased for carrying their violins through the streets of New York, Tourie and Damien have graced the stages of the Apollo Theater in Harlem and Radio City Music Hall in New York City. They also have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Today (NBC), and the Ellen DeGeneres Show. WHERE: John Carroll University 20700 N.
