WHAT: Second Annual Comedy Fest at John Carroll University, sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Affairs. WHO: Damon Williams was the opening act for the highly successful “Kings of Comedy” tour and recently performed at “The Tom Joyner Family Reunion” celebration held in Florida over the Labor Day weekend. He is a former host of the legendary Showtime at the Apollo. Williams has been featured on BET’s Comic View, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and The Tom Joyner Sky Show on TV One. Tissa Hami provides audiences with a fresh perspective on life as an Iranian-American woman. Hami was featured in the award-winning documentary Stand Up: Muslim-American Comics Come of Age, which aired on PBS in May 2008.
