The Office of Multicultural Affairs at John Carroll University presents   Nuttin’ But Stringz Tourie and Damien Escobar, Violinists Finalists, “America’s Got Talent” Once teased for carrying their violins through the streets of New York, Tourie and Damien are now globally famous!   Thursday, February 24,  2011 7 p.m. Kulas  Auditorium This event is free and open to the public. WHO:             Finalists on ABC’s America’s Got Talent, Nuttin’ But Stringz features Tourie and Damien Escobar. They combine the classical sound of the violin with pop, R & B, and hip-hop.                          They attended the legendary Julliard School in New York and strive to bridge the gap between popular and classical music. They have been featured on the Tonight Show, The Today Show, and in the motion picture, “Step Up.”            WHAT:           The 2010-2011 Dr. Shirley S.
