My name is Dr. Kyle O’Dell, and I am the Senior Director of Student Engagement at John Carroll University. One of my responsibilities is to coordinate Streak Week, an event full of educational programs and social events designed to introduce you to the University and to life as a college student.
You may be wondering why you need to participate in Streak Week in addition to the New Student Orientation that you participated in over the summer. There are several reasons for this. Streak Week picks up where summer orientation ended and is designed to provide a more in-depth introduction to the University. Throughout the week, you will participate in various educational sessions focused on issues you may encounter during your first year.
During the week, you will also have a chance to meet your SWAT Leader, who will serve as your small group leader for the week. In addition, there are several awesome evening activities planned for you. These events are a great opportunity for you to connect with your classmates and see what John Carroll has to offer!
The Streak Week 2022 schedule will be published in early summer. Classes will begin on Monday, August 29.
Please contact the Office of Student Engagement if you have questions about Streak Week. You can contact the office by email at orientation@jcu.edu.
Sincerely,
Kyle O’Dell, Ph.D.
