Employees of John Carroll University are considered Mandatory Reporters under the Title IX Mandatory Reporting Policy. To help faculty and staff gain the skills and knowledge necessary to respond in a meaningful and helpful way to these matters, the Title IX Office offers three different kinds of training.

Mandatory Online Training

This training is offered through an EverFi online training program called Haven. It is required of all JCU employees (with the exception of undergraduate student employees). This training is available from a link on the main menu within Banner Web. It takes approximately 45-60 minutes to complete the entire training, which can be done in stages, returning as many times as necessary to complete all modules.

Building a Culture of Care (Employee Skill Building Sessions)

The Title IX Office provides a skill-building training offered monthly so that all staff and faculty can learn how best to respond when learning about, witnessing, or experiencing sexual harassment, interpersonal violence, stalking, or other forms of sex discrimination. Monthly sessions will resume during the Fall semester 2018.

Department Training Sessions

The Title IX Coordinator also offers customized training sessions to individual departments and divisions. Please contact the Title IX Office for details and to make arrangements.
