This aligns with the guidance of health care experts and professionals and with policies of many peer institutions.

  • Instructor-Led Workshops: Technology training or information sessions for personal and professional development.
  • Instructional Design/Course Development: Collaborate with the Center for Digital Media team to design and develop engaging course content using emerging technologies.
  • Online Learning Resources: Live, instructor-led or pre-recorded online technology training for independent and/or remote learners.
  • Request Individual & Team Custom Training: Technology training sessions structured around individual or group learning objectives.
  • Provide Training: Share your subject matter expertise by providing training to the John Carroll community.

Description: This session provides a deeper dive into the Quizzes tool. It will also cover the amazing Speedgrader tool and gradebook (Grades) settings in Canvas.

This workshop will provide an overview of the Canvas Studio video platform - the next-generation online video learning platform. Canvas Studio integrates with Canvas and allows instructors to seamlessly create media interaction and active learning experiences in the online classroom. Learn how Canvas Studio can engage both students and instructors, provide insightful viewing analytics, generate captions, and turn video and audio content into the conversation.

What is Canvas Studio?

Canvas Studio is the next-generation online video learning platform that unmutes learning by turning one‑way, passive video into an inclusive, productive discussion.

Canvas Studio is a communication tool that allows instructors and students to actively collaborate through video and audio media.

How do I access Canvas Studio?

Canvas Studio integrates with Canvas and allows instructors to seamlessly create media interaction and active learning experiences into the classroom. Users can access Canvas Studio by clicking the Studio icon in the Global Navigation Menu or through the Rich Content Editor.

The session provides a detailed demonstration of both applications, including new enhancements that make Respondus Monitor even more effective and easy to use.
