Psychology, B.S.

As a psychology student, you’ll learn to explore and analyze human behavior and mental processes. The major provides a base for a variety of academic and professional fields, such as psychological research, counseling, clinical psychology, social work, business and industry, medicine, human resources, and law.


Depending on your interests, you can elect to focus on one of the following concentrations in applied psychology: child and family studies; forensic psychology; industrial/organizational psychology; and mental health services. Or, choose to minor in psychology and complement a wide variety of majors.

Degree plan

This plan will ensure students meet all Psychology major and University core requirements are met for graduation. Minimum of 39 credit hours for Psychology and 120 total credit hours for graduation.

PS/Statistics minor

Psychology majors should consider a statistics or data science minor.
