Pre-Health Professions Program

Our programs are great preparation for careers in medicine, dentistry, podiatry, nursing, pharmacy, and more. Our pre-health professions program includes a full-time director and a physician-in-residence who’ll advise you on course selection, career paths, and medical/professional school applications and interviews.

Ohio University Osteopathic Medicine

Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine Early Acceptance Program reserves as many as 10 seats annually in OU-HCOM’s medical school for JCU students who are established Ohio residents. OU-HCOM is recognized nationally for its excellence in preparing primary care physicians.

Lake Eric College Osteopathic Medicine

Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine Early Acceptance Program reserves as many as 20 seats annually for JCU students in LECOM’s medical, dental, and pharmacy schools.

Ursuline College Accelerated BSN

Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program with Ursuline College which designates at least two seats per year for JCU graduates in Ursuline’s Breen College of Nursing.

CWRU Doctor of Nursing

Doctor of Nursing Practice Program with the Bolton School of Nursing at Case Western Reserve University, in which students spend three years at JCU majoring in biology, followed by completion of the requirements for the Doctor of Nursing Practice degree at CWRU.
